Gradient is a boutique consultancy based in Missoula, Montana, focused on the analytics and research needed to understand vegetation, soil, and climate responses to agricultural and environmental interventions.
We combine ecophysiology, field and trial analytics, microbiome interpretation, and geospatial modeling to help clients answer complex questions with quantitative clarity.
About the principal
Gradient is led by a scientist with a BS, MS, and PhD in ecology and related fields, with approximately five years of academic research experience and five years in industry and consulting roles, including work on an Advanced Modeling and AI team.
This background spans forest ecology, plant ecophysiology, fumigant and fungicide trials, microbiome analytics, and climate and pest modeling, with an emphasis on connecting quantitative models to real-world decisions.
